Online horse auctions are a no go for me. I want to know what the price of a horse is before I travel to look at it and maybe order a PPE. Not sure about a PPE on an auction horse, are you allowed to have one done, do you get it before the auction and hope you win the auction?
I can ride my horse in anything (snaffle, hackamore, curb, halter), but I usually ride him in a short shank, smooth broken-mouth curb with a dogbone center, that has a little bit of gag action. For compeition only, I use a short shank Jr. cowhorse with a broken twisted wire mouthpiece.
